Business Transparency

Sterling’s managed aircraft clients benefit from a straightforward business approach that’s free of inducements and “come-ons” and instead built on a platform of complete transparency and accountability.

Our full-service accounting and documentation services for managed aircraft clients encompass:

  • Detailed, easy-to-read monthly statements covering all aspects of aircraft operation
  • Monthly revenue and utilization report, along with consolidated financial account and billing
  • Management audit of all goods, services and invoices
  • Tax collection and remittance associated with revenue-producing flights

Sterling’s income sources consist strictly of a consistent management and hangar fee structure, shared charter revenue, and a stated cost-plus mark-up on the fuel we sell from our own tanks. All other goods or services we purchase on a client’s behalf are passed through at our cost. This list includes, but is not limited to, hotels, ground transportations, catering, international fees, FBO charges and landing fees.

Savings we receive as a result of fleet rates and negotiated discounts are also passed along to our clients. These include preferred insurance rates and coverages, contract pricing for on-the–road fuel, lower fees for crew training, and reduced pricing on avionic, paint and interior refurbishing.

When major engine and airframe inspections are performed by a factory approved service center, Sterling typically is afforded incentives for our volume business and this, too, is credited to our aircraft owner’s account.

In addition, Sterling’s pilot pool crewing concept allows for maximum scheduling flexibility and minimum crew fees while compensating our crews with above industry standard pay and benefits.
