Sterling and ARG/US

Sterling is proud to hold a Gold Rating for safety from Aviation Research Group (ARG/US), based on the analysis of three major components:
  • Historical safety ratings
  • Current aircraft and pilot data
  • On-site safety audits

The Gold level is assigned to Part 135 charter operators that meet or exceed all established ARG/US standards for equipment, crew experience, and ratings. The equipment analysis emphasizes modern avionics, progressive maintenance, and proven safety systems such as TCAS/TCAS II, FMS, and TAWS/GPWS/EGPWS as well as aircraft age.

Founded in 1996, ARG/US has come to be relied upon by companies that manufacture, finance, operate, use, maintain and market business aircraft, as well as their clients. A primary product of ARG/US – the Charter Evaluation and Qualification (CHEQ) report – is the de-facto industry standard for safety evaluations of Part 135 charter companies.

The ARG/US CHEQ Report system provides charter customers with unbiased and in-depth safety reports on all U.S.-based charter operators. View a summary version of Sterling’s CHEQ report.

A full Sterling CHEQ report will be provided upon request. In addition, Sterling automatically purchases and makes available to our clients full CHEQ reports for all sub-charter companies included in our network of approved operators.
